Job Summary
Land Development Manager overseeing the division’s land development program, including roadway construction, utilities installation, earthwork, landscape, and civil coordination. Leads budgeting during entitlement, oversees permit approvals through site turnover, ensures SWPPP compliance, manages field operations (erosion control, paving, landscaping, utilities), coordinates with jurisdictions and other departments, and maintains development budgets and schedules. Requires collaboration with Area Construction Managers and Director of Construction, frequent in-person site presence, and a strong focus on cost management, schedule adherence, and compliance to deliver ready-to-build home sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land development
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or similar program (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- Physical & site presence requirements: regular in-person attendance at communities/job sites and offices; able to work long hours; able to operate vehicles and read plans
