Job Summary
Conduct routine engineering tasks under close supervision, including design planning, report preparation, modeling, calculations, and drawing revisions for residential, multi-family, commercial, and utility projects. Assist with cost estimates, study plans, and draft technical specifications for Project Manager approval while gathering information from agencies and interacting with clients. Apply engineering principles to solve basic problems using CAD software and Civil 3D. Requires a Bachelor of Science degree, two years of related experience, and a passed Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) examination. Located in Las Vegas, NV; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Working knowledge of CAD software, Civil 3D, and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Project)
- Ability to apply engineering principles to evaluate and solve basic engineering problems
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral communications
- Must be able to read and comprehend detailed correspondence and reports
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Bachelor of Science degree in appropriate engineering discipline
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience
- Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) examination
- Valid driver's license
- Travel in personal vehicle may be required
