Job Summary
Land Development Engineer responsible for reviewing land development and building permits to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable development; performing stormwater, hydrology, floodplain, and erosion control analyses; providing recommendations on city planning and environmental protection; assisting with engineering project design and supervision, and engaging with city staff, developers, and the public to advance responsible growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Five (5) years of experience overseeing land development and environmental protection activities, reviewing land development plans, including stormwater engineering experience
- Certified Floodplain Manager
- Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC)
- Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ)
- Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Level II Certified Design Professional certification
- Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia
