Job Summary
Lead field surveying operations as Land Survey Crew Chief, overseeing a crew to perform ALTAs, boundary surveys, and design surveys. Utilize Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and differential leveling; interpret construction plans; ensure safety, quality management, and equipment maintenance policies; deliver exceptional client service and collaborate with contractors to optimize project outcomes. Must coordinate activities with surveying technicians and engineering staff; physically capable of navigating construction sites and lifting survey equipment up to 50 pounds; OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for various surveying tasks
- Experience in Land Development (Commercial and Residential) and Public Infrastructure projects
- Associate degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related field experience
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently
- Basic proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
