Land Assistant Development Manager

Job Summary

Conduct due diligence on land acquisitions, analyze new opportunities, and coordinate information sharing among land development, acquisitions, and construction teams. Support the Project Manager with field observation, site visits, and on-site inspections for startups, final walkthroughs, and turnovers. Manage administrative functions including payroll processing, budget tracking, and performance reporting while attending Municipal Utility District meetings. Oversee construction of entrances, lots, and amenities by coordinating contractors and inspectors, and assist in the design, review, and permitting process. Negotiate final contracts and change orders as directed, ensuring all property documentation is completed and stored properly. Requires 1-3 years of land development experience, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

  • Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary

  • Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times
  • Periodic travel may be required

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of land development/infrastructure construction experience preferred; exposure to increasing levels of project oversight is a plus
  • Land Experience preferred, including:
  • Experience as a Land Analyst
  • Familiarity with MUD (Municipal Utility District)
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
