Job Summary

Manage the end-to-end financial governance of ScottishPower Renewables land assets, including a £55m annual budget covering external services, rental payments, and business rates. Lead the development of the Land Rental strategy and three-year budget forecasts, while providing insightful reporting to senior stakeholders on risks and opportunities. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, validate SAP RE land payments, and advise on commercial structures for new lease negotiations. Build sustainable relationships with landowners, acting as the escalation point for complex queries to support the Repowering Strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CA)
  • Degree in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Experience of lease agreements and managing relationships with landowners, land agents and other third parties
  • Experience managing significant budgets and financial structures, ideally within property, land or estate sectors
  • Proficient use and experience in financial systems and excel (SAP RE preferable)
  • Strong leadership, management, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and within a highly pressured environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Appreciation of sensitivity of issues and ability to respond by appropriately prioritising workload
  • Knowledge and understanding of business reporting and KPIs
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence and ability to constructively challenge at all levels
  • Ability to effectively delegate and manage workload across the team
