Land Analyst

Job Summary
Compile, organize, and analyze sales, building permit, and development data to support land acquisition decisions. Conduct regular competitive market analyses, including researching price points and completing comparative market analyses for new community rollouts. Serve as lead for strategic software rollouts and coordinate lot walks for finished lot purchases. Create and monitor land development schedules, review initial bid packages, and analyze budgets for feasibility phases. Maintain databases of market metrics, competitive intelligence, and land opportunities while developing introductory packages for prospective land jobs. Prepare reverse proformas for prospective deals and coordinate lot purchase agreements, closings, and deposit requests. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five to seven years of experience, and proficiency in Excel, GIS, and financial analysis. Based in Indiana with some local travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Development, or other related degree

- Skilled at navigating to web (Zonda, Prophetic, Termsheet, Land Glide, MLS, Map Wise, etc.) and government agency sites to obtain information on owners, land feasibility, land values, permits and market trends
- Requires some local travel within the market, including city and rural, day and night driving
