Land Analyst II

Job Summary
Review alignment maps to accurately identify pipeline assets and surface ownership/grantor information. Categorize, organize, and file documentation consistent with alignment maps, then create connections between digital documents and appropriate parcel data. Review document details in the land database system to verify Grantor/Grantee information, recording data, and property descriptions for deeds, easements, and leases. Update and audit the land database as necessary, plotting legal descriptions using deed plotting software to identify correct locations on as-built alignment sheets and GIS parcel data. This contract role requires onsite presence in Houston, TX, starting August 31, 2026, for a pipeline company specializing in midstream energy services.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Land records administration, management and documentation of pipeline systems
- Experience correctly interpreting land related legal descriptions, plats, alignment sheets and maps
- Understanding basic terms in various land agreements as easements, permits, deeds, ordinances, and assignments
- Basic land title experience
- Experience working with Quorum ODL
- Experience with Google Earth and GIS software (ESRI products)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with concentration on Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Must possess a strong analytical ability with attention to detail
- High School Degree or GED
- Must come onsite, no hybrid or remote schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Experience linking documents to the appropriate parcel(s) in GIS (in the more complicated land systems that are out there)
- Experience working on any land document migrations into Quorum data products (or other land management systems)
- Experience linking/tying land agreements to spatial data (GIS parcels) within Quorum data products (or other land management systems)
