Job Summary
Source and acquire land for residential community development in the Minneapolis Market, preparing acquisition packages for corporate approval and performing underwriting to generate letters of intent. Conduct continuous research and analysis to develop property contact listings, establish builder and developer networks, and monitor inventory of excess lots. Assist in land entitlement processes, evaluate and inspect properties, and generate Competitive Market Analyses on a regular basis. Meet with sellers, engineers, planners, municipalities, and other agencies as required for each property under consideration. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering with 3-5 years of acquisition experience, a valid driver's license, and current knowledge of the Orlando market. Candidates must work independently in a fast-paced environment using Excel, Word, Adobe, Bluebeam, and Power Point.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering
- 3-5 years' experience in real estate acquisitions
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Self-starter with the ability to think critically
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while keeping track of priorities so that all intended objectives are met
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled at Excel, Word, Adobe, Bluebeam, and Power Point
- Ability to navigate to web (Zonda, MLS, etc) and government agency sites to obtain information on owners, land feasibility, land values, permits and market trends
- Current, working knowledge of the Orlando (Orange, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Osceola, & Brevard counties) market and geographical locations
- Ability to research, interpret, analyze, and evaluate given information relative to the acquisition of appropriate land sites
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Adept in a quick, fast paced environment that changes quickly
- Must be able to drive the market
