Land Acquisition Analyst

Job Summary

Develop property value analysis and underwriting for raw land and vacant development lots, preparing time-to-market proformas and conducting market research to identify acquisition opportunities. Review zoning ordinances, gather competitive data, and coordinate Architectural Review Board approvals while overseeing jurisdictional data compilation. Perform asset sales pricing analysis, formulate feasibility packages, and create tracking reports to ensure compliance with strategic goals. Process land-related permits, manage contracts and purchase orders, and work directly with Legal on drafting agreements. Build relationships with Purchasing, Construction, and Property Management teams to ensure projects proceed on schedule. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Real Estate or related fields, 2+ years in land acquisitions, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics CRM.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in land acquisitions, including contract negotiation and relationship building
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Economics, Statistics, Government Relations, or a related field
  • Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM

  • Ability to ensure overall project development proceeds on schedule and is consistent with internal policies and procedures
  • Ability to process all land-related applications and permits for approval
  • Ability to manage files, documents, plans, contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and contract exhibits
  • Ability to work directly with Legal on the drafting of contracts
  • Ability to code invoices and process check requests for land acquisition and development
  • Ability to update and maintain accurate project development schedules and budgets

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Real Estate, Economics, Statistics, Government Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years as a financial analyst and/or business analyst
