Job Summary
Lamproom Supervisor responsibilities include implementing occupational Health, Safety and Environmental standards; managing lamproom activities; maintaining lamproom equipment; coordinating with site personnel; compiling equipment and safety reports; ensuring compliance with mine safety regulations; supervising Juniors/Relievers and Lampsman on site; training and updating staff; liaising with customers to ensure quality and safety of work; and willingness to relocate if transferred to another site.
Required Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent with mathematics and physical science on higher grade (grade E) or Standard grade (D symbol)
- National Lampsman certificate
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Lamproom of which at least 2 years’ in a supervisory role
- Understanding of lamproom equipment and tools
- Good computer skills
