Job Summary
Lead the safe, efficient, and quality-driven operation of the Laminating Department by ensuring laminators are properly set up, operated, and monitored to meet internal standards and customer requirements. Enforce safety policies, manage production performance to minimize downtime, and coach operators on machine operation and quality expectations. Monitor board flatness, warp, bonding strength, and adhesive application while developing and maintaining written SOPs. Participate in pre-production meetings to review upcoming jobs and identify solutions for high-risk issues. Ensure accurate reporting of production, waste, and downtime, and lead monthly production reviews. Work hands-on on the production floor, maintaining clear communication with operators and supervisors, and be flexible to work off shifts when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of laminator or corrugator experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of board construction, adhesives, coatings, and moisture control
- Experience troubleshooting warp, bonding failures, and quality defects
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to work hands-on on the production floor
- Be flexible to work off shift when needed
