Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician needed to perform skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work in the electrical trade, following NEC guidelines. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components (fuses, lights, wiring); reading schematics, blueprints, and repair manuals; installing and troubleshooting raceways, cable tray systems, motor control devices, switch panels, and transformers; bending EMT and Rigid conduits; ensuring safety and code compliance; coordinating daily work for a team; and handling work orders and materials documentation. Requires experience with hand and power tools, electrical test equipment, and ability to work in large commercial/industrial environments. Travel up to 25% and valid driver’s license are required. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are mandatory. Employment is full-time with pay up to $40/hour, benefits package, and opportunities for training and advancement; location is Savannah, GA (not remote).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience
- Journeyman / Master Electrician License (preferred)
- Experience with commercial industrial generators (preferred)
- Proficient with NEC / OSHA / 70E (required)
- Must have valid Driver's License and transportation
- Physically able to lift heavy objects as necessary
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- Some travel, including overnight required (25%)
