Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Unit Manager, perform activities to encourage and support breastfeeding to Kadlec Medical Center families, including inpatients, outpatients, prenatal clients, and employees. Update nursing staff and physicians on current information regarding breastfeeding and perform related duties as assigned. This per diem/on-call role at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA, supports the Mother-Baby department within a non-profit healthcare provider offering primary and specialty care. The team includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an interventional cardiology program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing (or higher degree) from an accredited educational institution, or degree in progress
- If BSN or higher is in progress, must be completed within 3 years from date of hire
- Washington Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 1 year Recent nursing experience
- emphasis on breast-feeding experience
