Lactation Consultant - PRN - Womens Center

Identify and correct lactation problems for neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults. Lead breastfeeding classes for expecting mothers and advise physicians on patient-specific lactation issues. Provide staff education to meet requirements for baby-friendly designation while utilizing evidence-based knowledge to promote breastfeeding. Requires one year of direct experience, BLS certification, and preferred International Board Certified Lactation Consultant status. Works 8 weekly hours under general supervision with creativity and latitude to plan goals.
