Job Summary
Lactation Consultant to provide clinical lactation services and support to patients, families, clinical teams, and the community. Serve as subject matter expert for lactation, breastfeeding, pumping, and human milk management. Responsibilities include evidence-based lactation support, responding to consults per departmental standards, educating and supporting patients and families on breastfeeding and pumping techniques, and implementing/intervening on breastfeeding-related care. Role requires a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IBCLC certification, and PA licensure/certification candidates with BLS. Inpatient hospital experience and NICU/critical care exposure strongly preferred. Work at 4 days per week on Main Campus and 1 day per week at King of Prussia Campus under a contract with potential extension or conversion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or similar field
- Minimum 1 year of licensed clinical experience; 2 years strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital experience
- Experience in pediatric medical-based settings
- Inpatient and outpatient experience
- NICU, pediatric, or critical care experience preferred
- IBCLC certification is mandatory
- BLS certification within 6 months of hire
- Active Pennsylvania license or certification (RN, LDN, OT, PT, SLP, etc.)
