Job Summary
Operate tandem axle vacuum trucks for hydro-excavation, sewer flushing, and debris offloading while performing routine vehicle maintenance and adhering to all safety protocols. Load, transport, and unload non-hazardous and hazardous materials including fuel oils, sludge, and wastewater, and conduct pre- and post-trip inspections. Assist in tank cleaning, perform manual labor such as dragging hoses and working in confined spaces, and maintain accurate documentation via the Geotab electronic log system. Communicate with dispatch, customers, and the public while representing the company professionally. Work evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations for emergency responses. Hold a valid Class 1/3 license with manual transmission and air brake, and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to participate in rotational on-call support schedule as required
- Lift objects/equipment up to 50lbs
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- A valid Class 1/3 license, manual transmission, air brake
- Ability to work evening shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Pass pre-employment D&A testing
- Manual dexterity, ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs hoses required
- Out of town, rotation and overtime work as required
- Required to use Geotab electronic log system
- Often requires working long hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call for emergency response situations
- On call schedule in effect on a weekly basis
