Job Summary
Support the building of buried facilities by filling support roles as part of HDD, backend, and cable placement teams. Complete tasks assigned by forepersons or the Construction Manager daily while maintaining site safety, equipment, and documentation accuracy. Ensure clean worksite conditions and remain ready for additional assignments per supervisor direction. Requires a valid AB Class 5 driver's license, own vehicle, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. in various Western Canada locations with overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid AB Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract, and own vehicle
- Physically fit and able to bend, kneel, climb, and lift (up to 75 lbs.)
- Prior experience in underground utility construction with an understanding of utility depths and placement standards
- Possess general knowledge of construction practices
- Ability to drive trucks and trailers as required
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather (i.e., snow, rain, wind, etc.) if required
- Valid Canadian Driver's License
- Overtime, as required
- Able to work in various locations in Western Canada
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred
