Job Summary
Labour Law Litigator responsible for handling all client matters and all phases of litigation from investigation through pre-arbitration, conciliation, settlement, mediation and arbitration; client management including billing targets; providing Labour-related legal advice; discussing complex cases with clients; analysing risk and probable dispute outcomes; researching recent case law; assisting clients with dispute preparation; applying and interpreting laws relating to dispute resolution; drafting correspondence to clients, CCMA/Council, and union officials; gathering evidence and preparing witness testimonies; representing clients at conciliation, con/arb, and arbitration levels; assisting in settlement of disputes; updating cases in CMS; and maintaining quality and client-retention. Must have a B-Degree in IR/Law/HR/Industrial psychology or related field, at least 1 year Labour Law experience, LAPs up to date, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a valid driver’s license with own vehicle. Hybrid work options are offered for applicable roles in South Africa.
