Job Summary
OB Hospitalist role in Marquette, MI focused on inpatient obstetric care, including deliveries, rounds, and admissions within a Level IIIA NICU setting. Responsibilities include rounding on consults, ER admits, and transfers, and providing 24/7 OR/C-section coverage in collaboration with an independent OB group. Shift pattern comprises 10-24 hour blocks per month with a 1:4 on-call schedule; teaching affiliation with Michigan State University and opportunities for CME, loan repayment discussions, and relocation assistance. The team includes pediatric and cardiology coverage with an established mobile transport team.
Required Qualifications
- Inpatient OB Hospitalist duties
- 10-24 hour shifts per month
- 10 on-site hour requirement
- Rounding covers consults, deliveries, admissions
- Work in conjunction with independent OB group
- Call 1:4 with addition of Laborist
- On-call physician responsible for ER admits and transfers
