Job Summary
The Laborer I is an entry-level position responsible for performing physical tasks to support concrete construction operations, including assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing job sites, handling materials, and operating basic tools. Essential responsibilities involve general construction labor, operating power tools, assisting in pouring vertical concrete, and participating in the installation of reshores. The role demands good balance and physical strength while handling materials up to 50 pounds or 90 pounds with assistance. Candidates should have the ability to work in various weather conditions and possess relevant physical capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance
- Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing
- Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- 30 Hour OSHA Card desired
- Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of formwork/concrete construction labor work experience
Additional Requirements
- This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
- Applicants who are selected will be required to join the appropriate union within a certain period after hire
