Job Summary
Common Laborer will perform physical labor on construction sites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools; may prepare sites and assist with other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include operating tools (drills, hammers, etc.), cleaning/prepping sites, erecting scaffolding, removing debris, loading/unloading construction supplies, and working with crew members. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a pre-employment drug screening, and adherence to safety policies; opportunities for travel across the U.S. for work in building, transportation, and water divisions.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- pass pre-employment drug screening
- comply with safety policies and procedures
- effective communication with coworkers and supervisors
- ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- good manual dexterity
- standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
