Job Summary
Maintain a high safety standard by conducting workplace exams, performing job hazard analyses, and reporting adverse conditions or process issues to the Production Shift Supervisor. Ensure plant equipment complies with regulations while operating mobile equipment and performing minor maintenance on tools. Execute routine clean-up of process lines, towers, and tunnels using shovels, brooms, rakes, and vacuum trucks. Participate in environmental, health, and safety audits and inspections. Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and communicate effectively on the radio system. High school diploma required; prior cement or heavy industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Good critical thinking skills with the ability to observe and assess situations and anticipate issues before they occur
- Must understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
- Lifting - Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling). Up to 50 1bs.
- Carrying - Transporting an object, usually in the hands or arms or on the shoulder. Up to 50 1bs.
- Ladders and Stairs, Heavy
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in cement or heavy industrial manufacturing is preferred
