Job Summary
Laborer for a heavy civil construction contractor in Jacksonville, FL, performing strenuous manual labor on heavy/highway construction projects such as road widening, bridges, and related site activities. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized job site; material handling and storage; assisting with loading/unloading; supporting foremen and supervisors; may assist with traffic control and flagging; participate in site safety and environmental protection efforts; comply with OSHA regulations; operate in outside conditions with potential exposure to heat, dust, and asphalt. Requires experience with working from heights and/or manlifts, ability to work approximately 50 hours per week, and no travel.
