Job Summary
General Laborer role in San Diego shipyard environment. Responsibilities include cleaning the yard and materials, setting up for vessel work, fire watch, assisting other workers and trades, operating or aiding with heavy/light equipment, moving materials, and following safety, quality, and environmental policies. Must be able to work in confined spaces, endure long hours and weekends, and communicate with team members. Requires ability to read safety labels and guidelines; prior experience in the industry is preferred; pre-employment medical test and DBIDS security clearance may be required; E-Verify participation and US work authorization emphasized. Requires high school diploma or GED, technical/vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
