Job Summary
As a Laborer at SA Recycling, you will be responsible for decommissioning vehicles by removing fluids and batteries, unloading and processing scrap metal, and performing general maintenance and physical labor to ensure quality processing of scrap material. Key tasks include preparing vehicles for crushing, operating hand tools and fixed equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in auto decommissioning and forklift operation. Safety and environmental compliance is essential in this role.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
- Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year previous auto decommissioning/processing experience preferred
- Front end loader or telescoping boom forklift experience preferred
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems preferred
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus
