Job Summary
Adhere to company safety procedures and policies while performing construction laboring activities on job sites. Pump blast holes dry with water, load and unload explosives from trucks, and carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes. Maintain a clean and organized job site, submit accurate and signed time cards weekly, and attend daily heads-up safety meetings, Foreman meetings, and periodic safety briefings. Work unsupervised occasionally while performing essential functions on uneven and loose surfaces outside. Travel out of town or state as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation (out of town/state travel required)
- Must successfully pass ATF screenings
- Must be able to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators
- Individuals must be safety-minded
- Ability to work well outdoors in varying weather environments
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position
- Ability to perform proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outside
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
- Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred
