Job Summary
Adhere to company safety procedures and policies while performing construction laboring activities on uneven, loose outdoor surfaces. Load and unload explosives from trucks, pump blast holes dry with water pumps, and carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes. Submit accurate and signed time cards weekly to the Blaster or Foreman. Maintain a clean and organized job site and attend daily heads-up safety meetings, monthly Foreman meetings, and periodic safety briefings as needed. Work unsupervised occasionally and take direction from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, or Drill Operators. Valid driver's license with good driving record and own transportation required for out-of-town and state travel.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation (out of town/state travel required)
- Must successfully pass ATF screenings
- Must be able to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators
- Individuals must be safety-minded
- Ability to work well outdoors in varying weather environments
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position
- Ability to perform proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outside
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
- Ability to stoop and bend 60 – 70% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred
