Job Summary
Laborer for Quarry operations in Gardiner, ME. Responsibilities include adhering to safety procedures, physical labor outdoors, loading and unloading explosives from trucks, pumping water to dry blast holes, carrying stemming stone, maintaining a clean and organized job site, attending safety and foreman meetings, and following directions from supervisors. Requires driving license with clean record, willingness to travel out of town/state, and ability to lift up to 100 lbs; prior construction labor and heavy equipment experience preferred. Starting pay $18-$20/hour with travel stipends and overtime potential; benefits include ESOP, health/dental/vision/life/disability coverage, and training opportunities. Must be safety-minded and able to learn blasting and drilling-site safety practices and perform laboring activities as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation
- Must successfully pass ATF screenings
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred
- Ability to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level task
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
- Ability to work unsupervised occasionally
