Job Summary
Clean and prepare job sites, load and deliver materials, and operate various tools and machines under supervision. Assist welders, carpenters, painters, and other tradespeople on-site while handling power tools, saws, and drills. Transport cement and other heavy items, stack goods, and set up or transfer temporary structures like scaffolding. Place warning signs for vehicles and passersby, and report equipment issues or unsafe conditions. Requires OSHA 10 certification, ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds, and on-the-job training. Must wear full protective equipment including safety boots, gloves, and hard hats.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
- Responsible for the health and safety of others. Practices good safety habits
- Perform a variety of duties which may often change
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Repeat tasks of short duration according to a sect procedure
- Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods, and techniques
- On-the-job training required
- May require driver's license
- Minimum OSHA 10 required
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Lift and carry materials, sometimes weighing 50 to 100 pounds
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment
- Must always wear protective or safety equipment, i.e., safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats and follow safety guidelines
