Job Summary
Under supervision, perform manual labor tasks including cleaning and preparing job sites, loading and delivering materials, and operating various tools and machines. Assist welders, carpenters, painters, or other tradespeople on-site while handling power tools such as saws and drills. Transport materials like cement, put up warning signs for vehicles and passersby, and help with setting up temporary structures like scaffolding. Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions and follow precise limits or standards of accuracy. Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods, lifting materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds. Minimum OSHA 10 required; on-the-job training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
- Responsible for the health and safety of others. Practices good safety habits
- Perform a variety of duties which may often change
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Repeat tasks of short duration according to a sect procedure
- Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods, and techniques
- On-the-job training required
- May require driver's license
- Minimum OSHA 10 required
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Lift and carry materials, sometimes weighing 50 to 100 pounds
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment
- Must always wear protective or safety equipment, i.e., safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats and follow safety guidelines
