Laborer

Laborer to assist in the production of cored wire and support line operators; prepare finished product for shipment and potential work in shipping/receiving/fabrication areas. Responsibilities include handling and labeling powders per SOPs, operating equipment (fork truck, overhead crane, welder, bander, de-coiler, scrap cutter, powder retrieving mixer, vacuum, and other tools), weighing and packaging finished materials, ensuring proper strip size and gauge on the de-coiler, maintaining tool cleanliness, and maintaining production records. Follow DOT labeling and customer specifications, adhere to safety practices, and participate in safety meetings. General production support, including cleaning, floor sweepings disposal, and assisting in all areas as needed; overtime and shift flexibility required.
