Job Summary
Laborer/Operator responsibilities include safely and proficiently operating equipment under the Shift Supervisor, performing general labor, and assisting with plant duties. Must follow lockout procedures, obtain and maintain PPE and tool kits, keep work area safe from debris, ensure guards are in place, and report unsafe conditions, dust emissions, and spills. Tasks include screen installation assistance and supporting plant personnel as needed. Prior experience with mini equipment such as a telehandler or backhoe is relevant; steel mill experience is a plus. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of labourer experience. Full-time role based in Hamilton, Ontario, with in-person work arrangement.
