Job Summary
Laborer on heavy construction and environmental projects. Responsibilities include adhering to safety procedures, operating small power and hand tools after safety training, setting up traffic control zones, trenching and backfilling, positioning and aligning structural components, measuring openings, loading/unloading materials, assisting with erosion control, and performing SWPPP inspections as required. Out-of-town travel up to three weeks may be needed. Must complete hazard analyses and tool manuals reviews, maintain punctuality, and wear required PPE. Requires ability to perform physically demanding tasks, pass drug screening, and meet pre-employment physical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must be over 18 to operate power-driven saws and perform excavating operations
- Must complete and meet physical demands requirements (pre-employment physical)
- Clean driving record
- Working knowledge of site safety, truck maintenance, road safety regulations
