Job Summary
Laborer responsible for assisting with heavy construction, underground utilities, and environmental projects. Duties include operating or assisting with power tools and equipment, ensuring safety procedures, conducting hazard recognition, maintaining site cleanliness, signaling equipment operators, trenching/backfilling, aligning and sealing structural components, measuring openings, managing materials, setting up traffic controls, and aiding in erosion control and SWPPP inspections. Requires safety training, ability to travel up to three weeks, and compliance with safety protocols; physical demands include heavy lifting and PPE usage. Restrictions include overtime/weekend hours and out-of-town travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate preferred
- Clean driving record
- Must be over 18 to operate power-driven saws
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must attend all mandatory safety meetings
- Must be physically able to perform repetitive motion and heavy lifting
- Must have knowledge of occupational hazards and OSHA requirements
