Job Summary
Clean, sweep, and sanitize the Mill Department packaging and shipping area, including bins and fill stations. Unload package materials, supply stations with packing supplies, labels, and boxes, and create trash bales. Fill paper bags with salt, guide them through sewing heads to seal them, and palletize finished products. Operate a forklift to move product within the facility and assist higher-classification workers. Bid into specific job openings during the probationary period while adhering to all food safety, quality, safety, and environmental regulations. Work in a 24/7 union environment with shifts determined by seniority.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous manufacturing experience
- A safety mindset and commitment to one's own safety and those of their fellow co-workers
- This is a 24/7 Union Environment
- Days/Hours/Shift worked is determined by seniority
