Job Summary
Repair and replace track components such as ties, plates, and spikes while observing conditions to detect and report defects. Operate company vehicles and equipment, ensuring daily maintenance and inspections are completed. Perform administrative duties for documentation per the Quality Management System and execute time-sensitive tasks to meet daily production goals. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, while adhering to safety culture and industry policies. Maintain concentration in environments with loud noise, live tracks, and high voltage.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario class G driver's license
- Ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions with limited supervision
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards regulations and safety precautions of the work being performed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to maintain concentration and mental alertness in a variety of situations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year related experience in construction of general labourer role is preferred
