Job Summary
Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies while completing required safety documentation. Perform physical labor on jobsites including digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel; lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies. Mix, pour, and place concrete, gravel, and other materials using hand tools. Join, wrap, and seal sections of pipe; remove forms from set concrete; fill expansion joints with caulking; and place rebar. Conduct general cleanup, demolition, and trench work using cutting torches and jackhammers. Perform care and maintenance of assigned tools. May be transferred from task to task as the project progresses or required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- one to three months of related experience in construction and/or training
- equivalent combination of training and experience
- Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
