Job Summary
Conduct skilled construction tasks including site prep, material handling, and operation of hand and power tools. Support excavation, concrete, demolition, and general project activities while maintaining clean, safe work areas. Perform rigging, signaling, and flagging for heavy-construction lifts, and assist with asbestos and lead abatement procedures. Complete weatherization tasks to improve energy efficiency and protect structures from environmental conditions. This role requires adherence to state safety regulations and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates must pass a Laborer Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete NCCER certification. Minimum of three years in refinery maintenance experience is required. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years or more in refinery maintenance experience
- Thorough understanding of Laborer type work and expertise in basic hand tools
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols
- Able to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions
- Proficiency in mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals
- Ability to logically diagnose and solve complex equipment issues independently
- A steady hand and good hand-eye coordination
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures
- Must be able to pass a Laborer Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft
- Complete the Company's Safety training
- Complete Process Safety Management training
- Complete Client/Site specific training
- MUST obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program
- MUST pass background check
- MUST have TWIC card
- MUST have a 20-hour high hazard facility training card
- Verification of 6,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status
- Must be able to hear, speak, understand and communicate effectively
- Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind
- Must be able to work for long periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
