Job Summary
Respond immediately to spills across rail, road, and fixed facilities. Perform chemical transloading between tank cars, tank trucks, and fixed facility tanks. Conduct chemical neutralization and decontamination as necessary. Maintain and prepare emergency response equipment, including servicing and upgrading, and ensure all relevant documentation is collected and maintained during emergency responses. Physically fit with a valid driver's license; hazardous materials emergency response experience is an asset. Must fulfill on-call requirements and travel occasionally. Overtime, on-call specialty pay, and per diem available. Competitive wages range from $20-$25/hr with boot allowance and quarterly safety bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Physically fit and able to wear chemical protective clothing and respiratory protection from time to time as required
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to fulfill on-call requirements and travel on occasion
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a position relating to hazardous materials emergency response would be considered an asset
