Job Summary
Laborer needed to support heavy construction and utilities/environmental projects across multiple states. Responsible for assisting with safety practices, operating small power and hand tools, trenching, backfilling, measuring and marking for openings, signaling equipment operators, setting up traffic control, erosion and seed-bed tasks, and various site preparations. Will undergo safety training, hazard recognition, and complete THA/SLAM documentation. Out-of-town travel up to three weeks may be required. Must adhere to safety procedures, maintain attendance, and possess a clean driving record. OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications are preferred or required before starting. Wage range $26.79–$30.52 per hour, with potential for travel between sites and environments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Average work week is 5 ten-hour days
- Out-of-town travel up to three weeks away from home
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate preferred
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and random checks
- Must attend mandatory safety meetings
- 18+ to operate power-driven saws and equipment
- Must be able to work on uneven terrain and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Must have OSHA 30-hour and First Aid/CPR knowledge or meet requirements before starting
- Must complete required physical examination to meet job demands
- Must wear required PPE provided by company
