Job Summary
Perform general labor work including stulling pipe, coating, lining, painting, grinding, and end prep. Inspect and clean pipe before processing, mix cement for patchwork, and properly mark pipe with spray paint or stamps. Operate hand tools and equipment, load and unload raw materials and coils, and perform basic preventative maintenance on machines. Identify unsafe conditions, follow OSHA safety requirements and ISO procedures, and maintain housekeeping in production and storage areas. Operate forklifts safely, complete paperwork, and participate in inventories and safety meetings. Work under close supervision with regular attendance, including Saturdays and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to understand and solve basic math
- Ability to comprehend and follow company procedures
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification if required
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and coworkers
- Must be able to work on Saturdays and overtime as required
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
