Job Summary
Assist crew leaders in construction, reconstruction, and maintenance work for underground utilities in residential and commercial areas. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment and movement of machinery while performing hand digging, locating obstructions, and operating jackhammers, rotary drills, and power actuated fasteners. Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks, then clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards. Complete duties as assigned, including heavy manual labor and lifting up to 80 lbs. This role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks. Candidates must be willing to learn additional skills.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
- English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent desired
- Experience working with underground utilities desired
- CDL A is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
