Job Summary
Laborer I in AMRP responsible for assisting crew leaders in construction, reconstruction and maintenance on underground utilities in residential and commercial areas. Tasks include swamping, hand digging, locating underground obstructions, operating or signaling to equipment operators, working with jackhammers, rotary drills, and power actuated fasteners, and maintaining safe work sites. Must perform heavy manual labor, lift up to 80 lbs, work in varied conditions, follow oral and written instructions, and collaborate with team while ensuring safety and compliance with drug-free workplace policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of a valid State driver’s license
- Background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Experience working with underground utilities desired
- CDL A is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
