Job Summary
Laborer needed at Hughes Brothers Construction to assist crew on heavy civil construction projects in Central Florida. Responsibilities include following project instructions from the construction manager or supervisor, adhering to all safety protocols while operating tools and equipment, digging pits, trenches, and foundations, ensuring equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly, and cleaning up the worksite. Work is outdoors and may involve inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds. Basic understanding of construction principles, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and overtime or out-of-town travel may be required. English and Spanish fluency are a plus but not required. High school diploma/GED preferred.
