Laborer - Heavy Civil Construction with AIS Infrastructure

Job Summary
Work under direct supervision of the Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager on heavy civil construction projects involving highways, bridges, and underground utilities. Perform physical labor including lifting, pulling, digging, cleaning work sites, and maintaining equipment. Conduct daily tool inspections, report malfunctions, and ensure tools are properly shut down and stored. Maintain accurate logs, fuel equipment, and adhere to safety policies while wearing required PPE. Lift and manage heavy objects up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and operate in extreme weather conditions. Work outdoors on uneven ground to meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases
- Must be able to listen, follow directions and communicate effectively with others
- Must be able to wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment including at a minimum: steel-toed boots, safety vest, hard hat, eye protection, and hearing protection
- Must possess knowledge of tools, equipment and workplace safety
- Must demonstrate skills in communications and teamwork
- Must be able to lift, pull and manage heavy equipment and objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work outdoors in exposure to extreme heat and cold
- Must be able to take company required precautions to be protected from irritants due to possible exposure to eye, nose and skin irritants
- Must be able to climb ladders and climb up to and into cabs on heavy equipment
- Must be able to walk over uneven and broken ground
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of and ability to check grade is a big plus
- Class A CDL is a plus
