Laborer Grounds Maintenance

Job Summary
Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property including buildings, parks, and athletic fields by cutting grass, trimming hedges, pruning trees, and spraying fertilizer or insecticide. Use hand tools to spread dirt, dig trenches, erect signs, and clean structures and equipment while maintaining and repairing fencing. Lift and carry heavy objects up to 80 pounds, operate equipment in accordance with EM 385-1-1, and assist higher-skilled levels with manual labor. Ensure work orders are properly filled out and support the project Safety Plan through adherence to safety requirements. This position is Mission Critical, requiring personnel to meet installation safety and security needs during lockdown conditions and potentially serve on an emergency management or response team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state driver license OR commercially licensed (CDL)
- Ability lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years prior experience preferred
