Job Summary
Perform a variety of grounds maintenance functions in skilled and semi-skilled craft trades to support assigned contracts, including assisting with planning, layout, and completion of modifications and repairs. Execute preventive maintenance and cleaning of grounds equipment while operating hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery. Read and complete incoming work orders with accuracy and speed, adhering to all policies and procedures. This role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and experience in grounds keeping or landscaping is preferred. PCSI is an AbilityOne employer prioritizing individuals and veterans with disabilities, offering a base pay of $17.75/hour with health, welfare, and 401K benefits. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to climb, bend, squat, lift and carry objects ranging from 10-60 pounds
- Occasionally push objects up to 100 pounds
- Prolong walking up to 90%
- Knowledge of methods used in grounds keeping, including use of all types of lawn equipment
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and speed in work performed
- Ability to read, understand, and complete incoming work orders
- Ability to understand and follow policies, procedures and regulations as needed
- Ability to communicate both orally and in written format
- Ability to work as a team member and develop effective working relationships with other staff and clients
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s)
