Job Summary
Prepare maintenance trucks by installing and removing plows, spreaders, and mounting frames. Load salt, sand, and deicing materials into vehicles. Clean and service winter maintenance equipment after operations. Clear sidewalks, walkways, and operational facilities as assigned. Operate hand and power tools safely while lifting materials up to 50 pounds. Respond to emergency call-outs during nights, weekends, holidays, and severe weather. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all OSHA and industry safety standards. Assist equipment operators and maintenance personnel with assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to respond to emergency situations outside normal working hours
- Completion of all required safety and job-specific training
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing construction, maintenance, landscaping, warehouse, or other physically demanding labor
- High School Diploma or GED
- Equivalent experience or training
- Valid driver's license
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
