Laborer (Earthwork)

Job Summary
Laborer (Earthwork) performs physical labor at construction project sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types (air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment) and assist other craft workers. Tasks include loading/unloading, trenching, erecting scaffolding, site cleanup, material handling, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Requires ability to follow written and verbal instructions, good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to travel as needed. Employment includes safety-sensitive duties, drug/alcohol screening, 8–10 hour days, and union-related considerations. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six to twelve months of construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- OSHA 10
- First Aid/CPR
- drug screening
- at least 18 years of age
- union affiliation or willingness to join the union
